Gate valves
Sentinel Valve
Description
Overview
The Sentinel Gate Valve’s robust design and proven dependability make it a permanent solution for pervasive gate valve performance issues in critical isolation applications in both BWR and PWR plants.
- Minimize dose exposure
- Minimize recurring or emergent maintenance requirements
- Excellent leak rate performance across current installed base
- Innovative wedge designed by Kalsi engineering and validated by extensive flow loop and design-effects qualification testing
- T-head stem
- Full port or reduced port design
- Pressure seal or bolted bonnet design
- Full length wedge guides
- Meet design requirements of ASME B16.34, B16.25, B16.10 and ASME Section III
Materials
- Full range of body/bonnet materials
- Full range of trim materials
Size Range
- 3 thru 12
Other sizes may be available and require additional evaluation
Pressure Rating
- Class 600 thru Class 1500
Other pressure classes may be available and require additional evaluation
Temp Range
- Up to 1000 °F (Carbon steel valves)
- Up to 1500 °F (Stainless steel valves)
Typical Applications:
- Reactor water cleanup
- HPCI
- RCCI
- Emergency feedwater
- Containment isolation
Other Applications:
Suitable for critical water or steam applications where a gate valve has chronic leakage issues or pressure locking. Replacement for gate valves that are subject to low leakage requirements and/or high maintenance costs. Can be installed in a BWR, PWR, or new reactor designs.
